Ready for Spring Beanie – Child Size Crochet Pattern

February 14, 2014 By Corina 6 Comments

Ready For Spring Crochet Child Size Beanie - Free Pattern

With this beanie you will be starting from the bottom of the hat and crocheting up towards the crown. The band that goes around the bottom of the hat has a fantastic stretch that makes it so this hat has a PERFECT fit for 3 year old's- teens!
The warm ribbed band also helps your ears avoid the cold winds that can linger towards the end of winter and during the beginning of spring- keeping your ears warm and reducing the risk of ear infections and earaches.
While the weather is changing so quickly… the V stitches will help your head stay warm- but also helps it from getting too hot!
The beautiful rose pattern is one I found by Petals to Picots. The free pattern is simple, unique, and perfect for accessorizing a beanie!

Absolutely precious ! Your willingness to share the incredible talent you have blesses me :-).. As I struggle to re-learn what my Granny taught me 40+ years ago? YOU are who I run to! Enjoy every stage of those sweet little ones! Mine are now almost 25, 24 & 19 and I am years away from grandchildren! My oldest is finishing her Masters in American Literature AND is an Assistant Professor! I taught her how to crochet when she was 8 & a summer class taught her how to knit :-)..she makes beautiful things for friends. I taught my youngest to crochet, but her sissy did the knit teaching so now they do both! May you be exceedingly, abundantly BLessed with new Crochet ideas & ease of putting your ideas together. Thank You, Thank you, THANK YOU! You are APPRECIATED! Bonnie from Pismo Beach Ca

Hi! This hat is so cute! I began making it for my 3year old and after a few rows I tried to get it on her head, but it was way too small! I even usually tend to make my stitches loosely. I was wondering how I can increase my FSC stitches to make sure the hat comes out correctly. Should I increase by multiples of 3?
    Thank you!
